I'm always
frustrated when I can't easily find a keyboard shortcut for a LyX
function, so I can understand why someone might resort to ERT just to
avoid interrupting the flow of the work.

I pair it with Calibri, a Windows system font. My
needs are very simple and I don't need a specific math font. I find that
Calibri is pleasant when projected on a screen and it has a nice Italic
for a sans-serif font. Because it is a Windows font, I compile my
presentations with XeLaTeX.

the way it works in Markdown. Just put a heading hashtag # before your
text and that line becomes the title of the new slide. Easy as pie.

e keystroke combinations, after composing the last bullet point of a slide
(“frame” in Beamer-speak), I hit to obtain an empty environment. I then
hit as many times as necessary to remove any nesting. I then hit
and, voila, an end-of-frame marker appears.

folders for temporary files (“AppData\Local\Temp”)
Both seem to be running fine and both can find the pdf file in the temporary
folder. I don’t know what may be wrong with your setup, but it doesn’t seem to
