Hello folks.
I am using the latest LyX (1.1.6fix1) on a Debian Woody system. I just
tried the new feature that lets me drop the filename extension on image
files ('image' instead of 'image.eps') so I can export to PS as well as
pslatex. When I drop the .eps, the images still preview, but they do

Here's what works for me: Inside the equation, type '\' followed by '{'
resulting in a red (TeX) brac

While we're spouting off about possible new features, what about a
computer math environment interface in a LyX document? Even if the output
is limited to a code environment, it might be nice for generating a report
of a computation in real time. Maxima (GPL'ed version of Macsyma) is
available.

In the preamble, I have
\usepackage{natbib}
\citestyle{natbib}
My document uses the "report" style, and my citation references use
\citep{} and \citet{} calls.
Thanks. Syrus.

This eliminates the two
problems that I cited: hyphenation in headings and headings that violate
the right margin.
Thanks. Syrus.

included files. From that point
on, you can use those references in the separate included files. This
works for me with my thesis.lyx and the included chapterX.lyx files.
I'm using 1.0.4.
Thanks. Syrus.

You can download the lyx source from ftp.debian.org and then compile it
yourself against libforms.so.0.88 which is included in Debian.
Thanks. Syrus.

looking for FAQs and HOWTOs about the DEL and BACKSPACE keys--I believe
that such documents exist.
Thanks. Syrus.

lem, it may be with the particular file format. I
believe there is a ps2eps command line program which one could try for
converting ps to eps. Also, I would make sure that the files can be viewed
with gv or ghostview.
Thanks. Syrus.
