I would just move them myself to the directory where you have your .lyx source

Then, open the .lyx file in a text editor, and then use find and replace to

You might want to have a look at the "listings"
package.

Along the lines of using a straight diff program: I
would highly recommend kdiff3.

Thanks Rob.
Also, any idea where I can get these missing files?
latexconfig.lyx.in and lyxconfig.lyx.in

With regard to my sed error. It seems it was my
fault. I had assumed that after renaming sed.exe to
oldsed.exe, that one should then copy the new sed.exe
into the lyx/bin directory to replace it!
I actually
I have to comment that the exact method on the wiki
page didn't work for me.
Even following the tips for "If LyX's configuration
fails or was incomplete" I could never get LyX
configure to complete without errors. I consistently
got hung up with a SED error
sed: file chkconfig.sed line 1:

1.2.3 is from Jan 8 2003. Not too ancient.
I'll try to upgrade my LyX, if possible. Hopefully

Do you Yahoo!?
The all-new My Yaho
I just tried to install beamer with my LyX 1.2.3
I am getting this error "Unknown TextClass tag
'Counter'"
around line 232 of beamer.layout when I try to set the
document layout.
Has anyone seen this error?I tried to reconfigure
several times and I don't see any errors during the
process.
Perhaps you could try something like this using AWK
BEGIN{
}
/^#/ {
next
}
/^\\/ {
next
}
{
words += NF
}
END {
printf ("I think there are about %d words in that LyX
file.\n",words)
}

I usually just cut and paste an existing fig from my
doc and that retains the centering. Then all I need
to do is right click on the fig and change the
graphic.
