Thanks for your input, everyone. On second thought, it might be best to
just stick with the template we have now, since Joost and Christian have
put a lot of work into getting it to work right. I think the current
template looks really good.

Here are some templates our designer Andrei picked out as possibilities
for the new website. What do you guys like most out of these (and the

Great idea, Christian. I wouldn't have thought of creating a "graphical
profile", but it makes total sense. Hopefully Andrei (AK) will have
something to say on this topic.

Just for the record -- are we now talking about the LyX application's
background/canvas, or the www.lyx.org website background? I changed the
subject line to what the discussion seems to be about.

Since we are discussing design issues, and we have a graphic designer
on board (Andrei), it seems a logical time to bring up the topic of
logo design that was discussed a bit earlier this month. I am
attaching some of the graphic designs that were proposed last time.

It looks like we will be creating a whole new design soon, but as a

changed.

haha...it looks like half the people are talking about the background within
the program *LyX* (i.e. the pinkish background canvas), and half the people
are referring to the background of the website, www.lyx.org. that might
explain some confusion.

Hello,
Important note for anyone making flash screencasts using Wink: when you
upload to the Wiki, make sure to upload not just the SWF file, but also the
.htm file and .js file that Wink generates. Then link to the .htm file. This
should improve the video quality.
