Figure numbers

Hi all, I am using Lyx 1.2.1. When I open a document which I have typed previously in Lyx 1.6, I can see only the figure captions; the figure numbers are gone! How can I make the figure numbers reappear ? Do I have to retype the captions in all the images again under captions layout ? Thanks,

change alignment in matrix

I've created a matrix with centred vertical alignment and entered the values into the cells. Now, I need to change the alignment to the right. Do I need to start all over again or is there a way to change the vertical alignment of the cells without having to key-in the values again ? I'm running
