Hi list,
I had LyX 1.5.6 installed along with MikTex 2.7 on Windows XP. Today I
decided to upgrade to LyX 1.6.1 and downloaded the installer:
LyX-1.6.1-1-Installer.exe
I uninstalled LyX 1.5 and then ran the installer. It detected my MikTex
installation and completed successfully... however as so

Hi,
I have a LyX file designed for printing, with large image files

Just to follow up, I think everyshi is properly installed:
C:\Programs\MiKTeX>find . -name everyshi* -print
.\doc\latex\ms\everyshi.dvi
.\tex\generic\tex4ht\everyshi.4ht
.\tex\latex\ms\everyshi.sty
Which I'm guessing rules out the problem being in the MiKTeX installation.

You could try running pdfopt, which uses Ghostscript to optimize PDF

I created a 2-page survey in a Microsoft Word document, and now need

Hi,
I've installed the MiKTeX package 'thesis' but it is not showing up

more to enable it?
Thanks,

I don't think it does (that was my experience). So I installed

Yes, all that side is fine. I just can't find Aspell itself. Also
my Spellchecker preferences are stuck on ispell - which perhaps is the problem?
