te LaTeX commands. Those would be \pagenumbering{roman} for roman numbers, \pagenumbering{arabic} for arabic ones and \setcounter{page}{1} to reset the number. If your documentclass is book, you could use \frontmatter and \mainmatter, too. HTH Kaspar Pflugshaupt -- Kaspar Pflugshaupt Geobotani
