Yes. Irfanview accepts commands. Here is the list:

For our purposes, you write "irfanview.exe image.gif" in console window and
it open it.
ge is not loaded. I try the $$i (The input file)
variable ("Customizing LyX: Features for the Advanced User") but
unsuccessfully.
