I have installed LyX-1.4.4.tar.gz with the options:
--with-frontend=qt
--with-suffix
in the default path /usr/local.
My version of qt is 3.3.4 on a Mandriva Linux 2006.
LyX-1.3.5 is also installed on my system from the Mandriva DVD, and is

I have installed LyX 1.3.3 for Win32 in C:\lyx and MiKTeX (full
installation) in C:\texmf\miktex. Thats also exist C:\localtexmf. The
problem is LyX dont find the latex packages/styles that I have in
C:\texmf\tex\latex; LyX only charge the basic packages and styles that comes
with the LyX install

I need to produce a photo album with text to explain the photo history. But I
have landscape and portrait photos, and I don't know how can put the text at
right or at left of a photo. I know a package named floatflt for that, but I
