how to use a latex class

Hi: I am new to lyx. I want to write my thesis in lyx for linux. I have a Latex class file with my required format. How do I tell lyx to use this class? thanks Ernesto

how to use a Latex Class file (.cls)

hi all: I have to write my thesis and I would like to use Lyx to do it, in Linux, of course. I have a Latex thesis.cls file with all the formats I need to use, but I don't know how to use it with Lyx. Should I create a template? I didn't find anything in the manuals. thanx a lot. Ernesto A. G
