Hi you all,
I'm having a hard time trying to place a xfig generated figure in my
text. I put the "!htbp" command at float placement window but the figure
appears alone and there's still some free space left at the same page.
The figure contains some LaTeX formula and was exported as a .eps file.

At this time, I'm having a hard time trying to install the CTAN's thesis
package on LyX. I followed the instructions of LyX customization help
file but it seemed not to work at all. Is there something more I should
know about that?

Thanks for your help. I've tried that but my eqn's could not be compiled
by LaTeX this way.

Dear all,
I have some eqn's to put into a figure generated by xfig. So, I set up
the appropriate text flags and followed the instructions at the xfig's
help to export figure as "Combined PS/LaTeX". After all that, I tried to
insert the generated ".pstex_t" file into a LyX document with no
success
