Hi,
using the AMS-book document, the labels of equations
are displayed on the left of the equation. This looks
very odd, is there a way (maybe a preamble?) to have
these on the right?

Watch out! this is rather annoying and can make you
feel obnoxious and ready to throw the computer out of
the window

I add two semi-minimal examples of a well encoded
.lyx file and a bad encoded one. Note that both
display correctly encoded characters when viewed
directly with vi, but they look screwed in badenc.lyx
Im totally inept to find a difference between the
headers of both files :-(

i copied from a german document to my spanish
document, before doing the copy exporting the document
to latex would produce

but now it produces

not to mention that it looks screwd up also in the
lyx window. I tried verifying that
Layout->Document->Langua
ay be configured :-(

Hi,
I have to format the main page of my thesis according

hi,
I've noted that unless you end a chapter (in
komascript book documents) figures will be delayed to
appear randomly. So if you want to force figures to
appear you must end a chapter (if you end a section it
wont work)
so my question is: is there a way to force lyx to
flush all the queued
Hi,
I've noted that in AMS unnumbered report and in
KomaScript book documents (maybe also in some others
or all the others document styles, dont know) the
graphics images are placed in pdflatex exports 90
degrees relative to pdf exports
Why is this happening?

There is yet another approach i discovered during the
Hi,
I just realized there is a very nice and clean way to
embed things like math and even subgraphics into eps
graphics, this rely on the overpic package
You take the .eps you want to edit and include it in a
minimal .tex just like the one in the end of this
mail*,
then:
1) compile it with late
I wrote an empty document with only the following
ERT:
\setlength\unitlength{1mm}
\begin{overpic}[scale=1.5]{test.eps}
\put(21,40){$\frac{1}{Y^{2}}$}
\end{overpic}
It gives various cryptic errors:
'arithmetic overflow', '.eps is an unknown graphics
extension' and crazy stuff like that

Hi,
Im writing a bit big AMS unnumbered article (~20
pages), and figures arent distributed among the
document, but they tend to stack at the end of it. I
would like that at least, figures belonging to a
section enviroment will not be displayed further than
the end of the section (ie: that i wo
