footnote without a number

I am using 1.1.6 on linux. I need to write a copyright notice at the bottom of the first page without a footnote number...but I can't figure out how to do it? Does anybody know? Anna

I am using 1.1.5fix2 on linux. Someone sent me some .eps files that I would like to include in a paper that I am writing. I have already included some .eps files generated from matlab with no problem. When I try to include these .eps files in a float figure, I am able to preview the figure i

double lines at the top and bottom of tables?

Is it possible to put double lines at the top and bottom of tables? I know that I can do this for all of the other lines in the table, but I only need it for the top and bottom lines...and can't seem to figure that out. Anna

Caption on figure

help with emacs.bind

I have copied the file "emacs.bind" into my directory, ~/.lyx/bind/emacs.bin but when I restart lyx, the emacs bindings are not there. This seems so simple? What am I doing wrong? Anna
