A lot of my friends have been asking me to install Lyx for them,
unfortunately most of them use Windows and not Linux/BSD so I tried to
download the Windows installer, but it seems that the ftp server is
permanently down.
Does anybody know what's going on?

Hello,
I have been working on latex to typeset some documents that I would
like to publish as websites, some of those have pstrees which do not
fit on A4 pages, therefore some of the image gets truncated, what I
would like to do is export the tree only to a graphic, or perhaps
export the whole doc
please contribute to the wiki?

I was trying to generate trees with Lyx, and it did work for text-trees, but
unfortunately I need to put some math stuff into the
trees(fractions,integrals, sums...etc) which(from what I see) isn't possible
with QTree.
So here I'm asking for help: How should I go about building those trees
