Thanks download 4 G then installation around 7 so it is very hard to
download. Any alternative? If I need to buy a new Mac/ laptop for
programming, what will be the best ?

LyX 2.3.6.1 is now released. This update fixes two problems.
The first is that the inclusion of TeX files as child documents was
unintentionally broken by the new code that allows for the creation of
new files from the child document dialog. The second is that there was
some odd behavior of menus
