Hi,
I am creating a custom layout and I want to create an inset which does not take
any input, an example would be the ”new page” inset from
’Insert->Formatting->New Page’. The purpose would be not to confuse users by
making them think that they need to input something. If this is not possible
So reducing it until it comes to the source of the issue, which is MWE :-)-O
The point is, even a three line LyX file has a preamble and many switches,
maybe even modules.
Never mind, if one asks for help...

using based on someone else's template, and it included a command that put
periods after section numbers.
