After installing some new printer software (Nuance Paper Port) I was no
longer able to view the pdf reader for any of LYX files. I uninstalled
the printer software but the problem remained.
Also, I was unable to install the new LYX update 2.1.3 (I am using LYX
2.1.2 on Windows 7).

on all the files of the bibliography before each compilation?

previews and exports do not use the font selected in document settings;
rather, it always uses nasty bitmapped Computer Modern.
I've tried different combinations of fonts and even tried reinstalling LyX
to no avail.
