This may be browser-specific. I currently have open in Acrobat Reader a 22 page
document with page numbers starting with 102. In both the page number box in
the toolbar and View > Go To > Page..., I can enter either the document page
number (say, 107) or the relative page (6) and jump to the corr

getting existing LyX documents (that have been transferred to my new
computer) to appear with the references in them when LyX creates pdf files

FWIW, I have this issue without using knit
Dear William
If you doesn't see any grey rectangle mentioning BibTeX bibliography
then you have not inserted it yet, so you cannot expect to have
references when you try to add a citation.

I do not know what exactly is the problem here, but one thing that
might help a little bit is to update knitr to the latest version if
you have not done so. Since v0.5, the tikz-to-pdf compilation will no
longer hang forever.

Bill,
Once you insert a BibTex bibliography, you can click the "BibTex
Generated Bibliography" grey rectangle and add more databases with the
"Add" button at the top right corner of the dialog box that appears.
Probably, you need more than one of your databases. Try adding all four.
Cheers,
Manol
To All,
I'm still having trouble getting LyX 2.0.3 to allow me to insert citations
into documents created on a new Dell (running Windows 7). (My old HP,
which runs Windows XP, has no trouble doing this). On the Dell LyX works
just fine until I click the Insert Citation tab. It brings up the usua

thanks for your input - all of you were right and had some useful info.
One in particular (Liviu - with the LyX archive) helped to identify graphic

Hi,
I'm writing a report that has several child documents. One of these child
documents has a different textclass than the master document because my custom
class clashes with knitr with tikz device if my graphs aren't cached. Lyx
noticed it and asked me if I wanted to continue, I check 'never
