Create a LyX document which uses underline and export as Latex. Now
import the Latex document. The underline is not 'swallowed' by LyX and
shown as underline, but remains in ERT. Also, the document doesn't
compile. However, if another word is now underlined, then the document
does compile, and

Hi,
I think the problem came from the explicit argument "--args" when
running Rscript; it should not be there. You can remove it and try
again.
Tools-->Preferences-->Converters; find Sweave to LaTeX (whatever);
then modify the converter (remove "--args").
The presence of "--args" will make ls.ar

I'm writing a paper in the Elsevier class, with the option "review,"

The ftp site is under maintenance (out of our reach). You can use the

Then it might be a question of how you got LyX. If you built it from
source, it might be that you haven't enabled Aspell support. Also,
what version?

I'm working on an Ubuntu machine.
I have Aspell installed and it works fine at the command line. When I
attempt to set it as the spellchecker in lyx, I'm not allowed to choose
anything...something called Enchant is selected, and I cannot change it.
Dear Lyx developers,
I have noticed two problems with LyX when run from the command prompt in
windows:
1) Typing
LyX -help
or
LyX --help
displays nothing. I can still use the options such as -e and so forth.
But if I forget the switches, I have lost the help.
2) Lyx does not return/display an

I feel quite the 'idiot' at this stage, but thanks to both you and Murat for
trying.
Murat have just seen your last mail - yes it would be great if Rob or
someone else familiar with setting it up in Windows could claridy and help.

Dear Steve,
I have just checked again the explanation on the RTools package and it looks
a little bot overkill to me too, for just installing the Sweave connection
with Lyx. As far as I remember, what you need on the R side to make Sweave
work is the corresponding executables and batch files that
Dear Steve,
I have just tried to make more explicit the instructions given by Rob.
Unfortunately, I do not use Windows anymore and cannot directly test them.
As far as I do remember, establishing the connection with Sweave was rather
complex under Windows with the previous versions of Lyx, but it

But if one never runs RTools, how does it do this.
In the instructions, it seems as if RTools does not get run; or am I missing
something.
Also when I downloaded RTools it seems as if this is a tools to re-compile
