How can I set the title placement on the first page of my article and
its font size?
I have some requirements from a workshop that wants the title to start at
3.49 cm from the top of the page and in 14pt font.

Dear LyX Developers and Users,
For the past couple of days, I've been working on a custom LaTeX document class
for a non-profit. It is based on memoir, and while it is still a work in
progress, I'd like to think that it is rather awesome.
Because the final goal is to use this document class in
Hi Tommaso,
Sorry to hear about the difficulties. I actually had better luck creating my
own import path.
ODF -> HTML -> Run tidy on HTML -> HTML2LaTeX-> LyX
This made sure that the markup coming into LyX was as clean as possible with no
strange ERT or other data that couldn't be converted. I
I have very good experiences, with exporting from NeoOffice
using the Write2LaTeX UltraClean option, then removing a few unnecessary
things, can be done by (perl) script and then
tex2lyx'ing it.

Hi Tomaso,
You may be able to modify this to suit your purposes.

You obviously wouldn't need to mess about with the Word step, but the script

For instance (in LyX 1.6.X, in the preamble):
\usepackage[citestyle=numeric]{biblatex}
Longer answer: look into the different styles that have been developed for

Hello.
In the latest versions of lyx (lyx 2.0) the command
\setcounter{xca}{0}
doesn't work anymore ("no counter xca").
What is the new name of the counter for the Exercise environment ?
Thanks
