How to set a page breaking point on a long table? The default can not
let long table break into pages automatically.
Thanks,
Michael
Hi Steve,
Could you plese tell me what Symlink is?
I actually had a similar problem.
I usually prefer using the default layout, because I can then open my file
in different computers.
But then I realized the default Article.layout doesn't have those extra

Hi all,
We discussed this awhile ago, but now I have a solution.
I like my layout files to be in the directory with the book, not
in /home/slitt/.lyx/layouts. Therefore I symlink:
ln -s /data/books/mybook/mybook.layout /home/slitt/.lyx/layouts/mybook.layout
And then I reconfigure.
W R O N G !
Thank you so much for your awesome advice.
It works! now I will just have to get into the habit of putting Labels in
for new entries
Thanks again!

Hi

strange problem in lyx everything works fine but as soon as I create a pdf
(or a dvi for that matter) the table numbering is 1,3,4,5,6,7, Which
confuses me.
Furthermore, I use the section*, subsection* because I don
Hi all,
In the 7 years I've used LyX, every book had its own layout, and every single
time, I spent hours tweaking around trying to get my layout visible to the
document so that I could use my specialized document class.
What I typically do is:
1) Make the layout file
2) ln -s /bookdir/mybook.

I planned to do this in some near future, but prefered to wait for
some (more) feedback from the list and give myself some more
search-time, before doing so.

This is general LyX problem I think. And it is not reported to normal users,
which causes later problems with LaTeX synthetisation - very often reported
on this list. No one previously answered to my question about that. If
plenty people will report such situation, maybe someone find this a serious
