After a short discussion with Ivritex, I got this conclusion (and it
might help some others, so I write it here).
Using culmus fonts IS possible in ubuntu 7.04. This is the way to do
that:
* first of all, the right thing to do is to install texlive and not
tetex; tetex is not maintained any
