Hi, I've been using LyX for years -- since maybe 1.2 or earlier. I've
always been able to print well-formatted out-put directly from LyX.
But now on 1.5.3 I cannot.
I have dvips defined as the print command in preferences. And it does
print but it cuts off the footer no matter what I do.
I looked at the Embedded Objects manual but it was not clear how I could get
my desired effect of just adjusting the space between consecutive rows. I'm
kind of new to Latex so I'm sure I missed something. Any help would be
appreciated. Thanks.

Did I miss a new aspell release, or have you updated them silently? Have you rebuilt all

Hi,

A search of the mail archives will get you started. E.g.,

There's stuff on the LyX wiki specific to Beamer.

As LyX 1.5.3 is Unicode-compliant, my tex editor supports unicode
characters, and XeTeX can access all unicode fonts in the operating

Hello,
I'm writing a paper using numbered examples, with Covington.sty. I would
like to repeat one example later in the text, like this

Some text

Some more text
(3) The third example

Perfectly compatible. Read the beamer docs for specific setup instructions
to use it within LyX.

I did something similar. I used a 1x2 table at each
step and in the table I put the graphic in one column,
the text in the other.
Perhaps that is workable for you too.

I normally use:
\documentclass{beamer}
when I create presentations in LaTeX. But how compatible is LyX with Beamer?
I just imported an old beamer tex file, but it looks very confusing. Am I
better of using a traditional latex editor for presentations/beamers?

I need to have a single final page in a Koma-Script book that I can format
rather freely. I can always make a separate single-page PDF, but I was
wondering if there was a way to force it into the regular document.
