This may be a bit vague, but what you need to do is find the pdf file
'right click' select 'Get Info' and under the 'Open with' dialog
select the program of your choice and then hit the 'Change All'
button to apply it to all similar pdf files.

I think there's hope that in the future people will rather require Open
Doc Format files instead of Word. Then it would be great if Lyx could
export ODF easily. Maybe the planned XML file format will help...?
