I have just updated to 1.4.3-4 from 1.3.6 which I have been using for ages
(on Windows XP). When I tried to export my document for the first time with

I think you want to titlesec package or to use the koma-script classes,
which provide a lot of flexibility.

I am using LyX 1.4.2 and 1.4.3 in Windows (installed with the
LyXWinInstaller).
When the reference dialog is opened in order to insert a reference, the
last label that has been referenced is marked with a dashed-box. Seeing
this, I tend to believe the label is selected and just press ret
