To regain the old toolbar features, you need to edit stdtoolbars.ui and install
associated icons. If you have an old 1.4.1 or 1.4.2 installation, you can find
the old toolbars in LYXDIR/Resources/ui, and the icons in
LYXDIR/Resources/images as .xpm files.
The toolbar feature I wanted back was the
For 1.5, I'm just working on a patch that lets you hide all labels at once
and
probably also saves the settings (whether the labels are shown or not). The
former might even go into some future version of 1.4 (the latter not,
because
it entails a file format change).
Yeah, however it is not just

Can I insert environments like {lgathered} or {gathered}[t] without

into my document?
\begin{align}
x &=

Hi,
I'm new to Lyx and this list. I'd like to use Lyx for writing a Phd
dissertation or articles that have to adhere to APA.
I was considering apacite for this purpose, but I'm getting the notorious
questionmarks rendered in my DVI output.
From the archive I found that this has to do with a con

Thank you very much, Jürgen - works like a charm!
I am a bit surprised about the way character styles are represented in the
GUI (with this kind of inset and the name below). I had expected it to be
more like "Emphasis" and the other text styles so that one can defines, how
the text *itself* d
