I'm having trouble using document classes in Lyx. I create a new document and
then go to the document settings. The only classes which are available for
selection from the drop down list are article, book, letter, and report. The
others are marked as unavailable e.g. 'Unavailable: broadway'.
I am currently running LyX 1.3.4 on Mac OS 10.2.8. If I update the OS
to 10.4, should I expect to have problems running LyX 1.3.4?

I have compiled 1.4.1 from source, and wish to use the branches feature.
In Documents/Settings/Branches I can set up different branches, set
their colours, activate them etc, but I can't see a menu item to insert
a branch, or convert some text already there to a particular branch.
