yes, you are right. I thought a (automatic) line break would be a better
solution to decrease the width of the table. Is it possible that lines
break automatically to keep the width of the page?

I just installed the last version 1.4 on a Fedorac Core 4, and I lost the
option of setting the class elsart.
lyx checking gives me:
+checking for document class elsart [elsart,amssymb.sty]... no
But, I check, I have the following files:
/usr/share/lyx/layouts/elsart.layout
/usr/share/ly

I decided to import tex-refcard.tex which is set at \columnsperpage=1
This worked but produced 9 pages. So I tried to change the setting to 3
"% This file can be printed with 1, 2, or 3 columns per page (see below).

I'm using Lyx 1.4 and tried to limit the width of a table. For this I
selected a cell which wide and pressed the right mouse button. I checked
"Specify width" and defined it below. Verified the result by pressing
ctrl+D but it seems without success because the table is still too wide.
Any ideas

computer and it didn't have stdtheorem.inc and it still works!!! I
