I think I stumbled across a possible bug in Lyx 1.3.2.
When inserting an eqnarray environment, it seems that Lyx by default
creates a Latex equivalent

Instead of copy and paste, i thought there might be a
outline view or something where you can simply select
a section heading and click up/down or left/right
buttons or type some keys to move a section around.
Thanks.

I've run into the same problems with Solaris & 1.3 mentioned on the list
a couple of times before. The problem is that characters are rendered
incorrectly in the mathed display (the math panel is fine). For
example, \sum shows as P. This problem does not occur under 1.2.2.

Hej .
The option "vertical alignement" in format-> array is unavailable. An

Thanks,

Dear list:
I am currently using natbib and apalike to format my Phd bibliography.
All is working well! But I have two questions to save a bit of time and
effort:
1. Is there someway to have Bibtex auto-sort multiple citations in
alphabetical order when they appear in the text? Ie, enterin
If you use convert, try
convert file.png eps2:file.eps
This will produce a level 2 eps file, which allows for a compressed
bitmapped to be included, rather than the default type 1 eps, which stores
an uncompressed bitmap.
I don't know if it will make much difference with a png file, but it does
Thanks very much to everyone for the help and suggestions. It turns out that
Katrin was correct, and the problem was with the image resolution rather than
the methods used to export the document.
Thanks again,

Hi Alistair,
though you might meanwhile have solved the problem, here's another
suggestion how to improve the image quality. First of all I found that
your images delivered in the sample file have a resolution of
70-something dpi, which as far as I know is a little low for printing.

Hello,
I am a newbie to the Winport of LyX of Reitsma (I am a little bit used to
Hentschel's port). It looks very well.
But I have a problem. I changed in the Preference window the language

What software generated the PNG image? Did it have an option for any other
format like JPEG or PS? Doesn't look like GIMP does a good job with PNG
files.. with the version I have, it didn't even give me the option to
