I am using kontour for vector graphics. The produced figures have too much
white space. I am trying to get rid of it by using ps2eps. However, the new
figure looses some of its content (at the borders). Its showing up after
including the file into a lyx file (float: figure). I am using Lyx versi

I use cygwin on WinXP. This started to happen after I
To change the algorithm header put
\floatname{algorithm}{What you want}
in the preamble this will change what it looks like (but probably not
when looking at lyx)
when you want to insert a list of algorithm in ERT put
\listof{algorithm}{List of What you want}
there is probably one \renewcomman

Try using postscript images wherever possible - they will retain much
better quality and will also resize correctly.

The way I do this is to include the options to not filter the image when
converting to pdf
In lyx under edit->preferences
select the conversion then converters tab and then select Postscript ->PDF
then in the converter box where it says ps2pdf place the line
"ps2pdf -dAutoFilterGrayImages=false

Hi!
Is there a possibility to enhance the quality of graphics when exporting my
lyx-document to pdf? When I export to html the qauality is much better but
unfortunately the layout (borders, reference ...) suffers.
Thanks alot,
Tobi
I'm glad to see lyx has docbook support, since I'd like to start learning
about it.
Problem for me so far, is that SGML is designed to allow certain constructs in
certain places. Unfortunately, lyx doesn't seem to help me to know where
different constructs are valid.
Ideally, the menu should
Hi everybody,
I am still having trouble configuring lyx 1.3 to print in RedHat 8.0. This
is the advice I received from the Tips and Tricks page:
Printer Installation
It is possible to use XPP (X printing panel) for printing from LyX instead
of the default printing GUI:
Add the following line

I'm using the book layout however the figures I put inside the float
figure are not centered.
Is there a way to correct this?
Hello.
Is there a way to write matrices with the keyboard?
What's more is there a pdf, website or any other source where I can see
all the shortcut posible for lyx?
