How do I make a horizontal line of given length in LyX? Can this be done
without including latex code?
Thanks,
Lars.

What am I missing?

Hi,
A friend of mine sent me a file with an .lyx extension
in the hopes of opening it up to see what it was. It
was supposed to be some type of image file.
So, I installed LyX on my Linux box and proceeded to
open the file, but it won't open.
Is there any way that I can tell if this is indeed
Guys hello,
You might want to download Solaris 9 SPARC packages of: lyx 1.2.1 and
netpbm library + pngtopnm from my page:
http://www.extum.com/~stefan/node6.html
The site is 100% under work, I haven't got time to take care of the look
too much.

I've just moved one of our sparc-solaris-8 users from OpenWindows to
CDE. LyX fails to share the color map on the 24-bit display, and the
only cure I've found is to run `lyx -visual truecolor'. But when lyx
is started with -visual truecolor, it crashes on loading a file.

I'm getting rather frustrated and I'm wondering if anyone here has some
suggestions...
I have some HTML files, I want to import into LyX (well, you might guess
that from the subject line). The route I am using is to use
gnuhtml2latex (that's what's available on my Debian system) to convert

Hi,
I have a problem with the preview of .ps Files. The preview is not accurate at
all, the right border seems to be cut off a bit, though in the generated
postscript is all right. This makes it hard use the "bounding box"-feature
because I have to compile the lyx file every time I change some
Hi,
when I choose a value higher than the size of the bounding box, Lyx 1.2.1
crashes. Can anybody confirm this behavior?

Hello,
I was REALLY happy when I saw that we could use footbib with lyx starting
version 1.2.1 (urls is : http://www.lyx.org/help/bibtex/footbib.php)
So I upgraded to this version and tryed this wonderfull feature. It doesn't
work unfortunately :-(
I've fallowed step to step the instructions
Hello all,
Sorry if the title is not that clear, here is what I look for:
I have figure floats with several figures, and I want to have letters
(a) (b) etc. under each subfigure, and before the figure caption.
I have done this using a label as a "title" for each figure, according

Hi Juan,
maybe there are other ways, but what I'm doing is : view > postcrpt and then print
from ghostview. It also works print to file (from lyx),. This give you a *.ps file
that you can open and print with gv.
I hope this will help,
