The problem has been solved. It is the discrepancy between gcc and OS
that caused problems. I actually find a server on our network that is
running Solaris 2.6 and compile lyx on it. Everything goes just fine.

Sure. Gcc also fails when I upgrade mutt to mutt-1.4. (Not with stat.h
though). I have notified our administrator these problems.
