I don't have these either, and \ast and \Subset work fine
I installed loads of latex fonts whilst testing though, so I might have
similar ones or something. I don't
Hi John,
I've read the mathed.lyx file, and found the script... My problem is,
I've got all the files except for the following:

I've searched for a few on Google, and also through all the RPMS that

Hi!
I switched to LyX 1.2.0 today and am really impressed with the changes. But I still
have a question:
What do I need to do to have LyX show me symbols like \ast and \Subset directly in the
edit window (just like it does with \alpha and \leq)?
Any help appreciated!
Thanks,
Jens

Under gnome ?
Does it run any clipboard-type thing too ? Have you tried disabling it ?
What xforms version are you using ?
What application are you pasting from ? If they all fail, give examples.

Hi,
I'm working on a presentation with seminar.sty and lyx. Alle the slides
are in portrait mode - I specified that in the document options
"portrait". I would like to generate the listofslides in landscpape mode
because I have pretty long slide- and subslideheadings so it looks not

In v. 1.1, I used to be able to highlight text in a non-LyX window and
then paste it into LyX with a middle mouse button click. However, in
v.1.2 I can no longer do this. Any ideas how to return this
functionality?
Thanks,
Matt

I am convinced their is a way to include an ascii (bash script) document
without losing the whitespace at the begining of each line - but I do not
know how. Can anyone suggest a way to get scripts included as external
files - so that the scripts can still be edited independantly ??
Please...

Hi there!
Compiling lyx from source with SuSe7.2 doesn't work.
I think the error is somewhere in sigc++ because:
trevor@linux:~/lyx/lyx-1.2.0/sigc++ > make
Makefile:247: *** missing separator. Stop.
Thank you for any help!

Hello,
I'm typing a french text with some citations in english.
I'm using lyx1.1.6fix4.
I therefore selected "frenchb" in lyx. I'd like to use some Babel commands
