Hi all,
I am new to lyx. I am trying to import Latex file but failed.

Friends,
I now have everything installed, but obviously not properly. When I click

Windvi (SUPELEC 0.67.2) does open however, and displays the file beautifully.

Thanks, and I have a couple of questions.
In my LaTeX preamble I have:
% Add prologue pages (title, etc.)
\input{prologue.tex}
But somehow tex2pdf does not set the directory correctly. It is missing a

I seem to have a problem with output to Netscape. I usually have an
instance of Netscape 4.76 running all the time. This may be significant, as
the command line to launch Netscape with a given file to display is
different from the command line to have an already running Netscape
Lyx does not appear to be removing its temporary files in /tmp.
[ccurley@charlesc ccurley]$ rpm -qa | grep -i lyx

on Red Hat 7.1.
When I shut Lyx down, I get an error message to the effect that it
could not remove a file. The name of the offending file is that of a
directory.

I would like that when a table is created the SGML output can contain a
, especially when long tables are used.
In the GUI, long table heads can be defined (so something can be done

Ist anyone out there who is using the susebuch Style by SuSE within
Lyx?
Up to now I'm using my own version of susemac.inc with
\InputIfFileExists{/myhomedir/.lyx/include/susemac.inc}
and it works fine for ps/pdf output, but dont work for HTML output.

I was hoping someone could help me out on a page numbering problem. I'm
trying to number the first few "chapters" of, say, a thesis such as Abstract
and TOC using different numbering from the body. I want these sections to be
numbered by roman numerals, and the body to have different numbering

I've used a thousand and one page layout programs and word processors
over the years, and i'm now trying lyx out. I always end up trying to
force PLs and WPs to work in some sort of logical style order, and i
always end up exporting to something cross platform like html and/or
