Hi,
My experience was similar. texmacs was so slow as to being

Which version of LyX is that?

the mathed parser is not correct in every case.

okay so that worked very nicely
thank all of you developers, designers and
other helpful people for all the time and work
you spent to make LyX what it is now.
Today, I finally delivered my diploma thesis
in computer science. Without LyX, it would
have been half the fun and it would have
taken much more time to get this job don

Uhh, editing the Metafont source I guess?
You seem to be pretty advanced user, so I guess you have already tought of
it, but
I am writing figure legends for a paper I will soon be submitting for
publication. The figure being referred to contains some basic symbols
(circle, square, triangle, and a white/empty cross (like a plus sign)). I
can get a circle and triangle easily enough from Math panel but the box and

Stopping the scalable fonts from 'edit>preferences' solved the problem.

Write \textrm{ in the math mode, then \AA between the brackets.
Works here.
The help screen of emacs po-mode suggests that there exists
a lexicographical function in gettext.
Did somebody use it ? Is it worth investigating ?

Any suggestions?
