Try running "ldconfig" as root after installing xforms and before
installing LyX.
You might want to install LyX from source .tar.gz package, they work
usually better than precompiled binaries.
I need some help...
I have a system with Red Hat 7.0 on it
I downloaded the following packages:
lyx-1.1.6-1.i386.rpm
xforms-0.89-6.i386.rpm
I successfully installed the xforms package.
The lyx package complained that it needed libforms.so.0.88.
I did a find on libforms* and discovered a libfo

Does this mean that LyX 1.2 will not support pdfTeX???

Should LyX then do a workaround?

Hi,
I hope this is not too much off topic for this list, but I'm quite sure some of
you will be able to help me.
I'm using LyX now for quite a while for my personal documents and are very
happy with it.
Actually LyX 1.1.6fix1is working fine for my needs.
Normally I use a 102 standard keyboard w
This is a rather odd question (and a bit OT) so apologies.
I have a list of things that I want to itemize, but they won't fit on one
slide; so I tried using a table. Thing is, I want bullets to appear in
front of each table entry. Is there a way to do this?
Many thanks,
Sarah
Can anyone give me the complete
idiots guide to getting lyx to use
the docbook format?
I can't seem to get the sgml-tools and
lyx etc. to play nice and export docbook.
Any help would be appreciated?

Hi,
configuration put lyx 1.1.6fix1 by default in /usr. I think it would be
better if it was in /usr/local (a personnal desire, feel free to discard
it, but all the other softs I ever installed with ./configure;make;make
install were installed in /usr/local).
Though, there is a real problem with

A fix for this from John Levon has been commited today.

Hello,
I've quoted a little bug in a menu:
in lyx-1.1.6fix1, in the Edit menu, if you look at the
Math panel entry, you can see "Math Panel_". I think the
underscore is at the wrong position.
Another thing with selection:

When I try File->Show DVI I get a lot of faults :
name: ecrm1728, dpi=600, bdpi=600, mag=magstep(0.0), mod=ljfour
Found METAFONT C:\programme\texmf\fonts\ec\src\ecrm1728.mf...
Creating ecrm1728.pk...
C:\programme\texmf\miktex\bin\mf.exe \mode:=ljfour; \mag:=magstep(0.0);
nonstopmode; input ecrmc1

Hello,
I'm wondering if there's a little file convertion problem
when upgrading a 1.1.5 lyx file to the 1.1.6fix1 version.
Indeed, when I opened the 1.1.5 file under 1.1.6fix1, no problems.
So, I save it and now, when I open this file under lyx-1.1.6fix1 and
try to export it as a postscript file,
