Hi out there!
I have installed a new Linux-System on my computer (SUSE-7.0).
With the older system before,
starting and working with lyx-1.1.4fix3 was no problem, I wrote my whole
thesis (160 pages, lots of graphics, ...) with it.
Now on the new system I installed again (with Yast1) this lyx-

I wonder that Debian includes LyX at all.
After all, LyX is linked to the Dark Side by using xforms.
(ok, I don't seem to remember Richard's words exactly, but ...)

I get:
LaTex error: File 'geometry.sty not found
\geometry
{verbose,a4paper,tmargin=1in,bmargin=1in,lmargin,rmargin=1in}
***(cannot\read from terminal in nonstop modes)
when trying to view in dvi.
Am I missing a geometry file or do I need to redirect a path somewhere?

actually, i just subscribed to this list... i couldn't find any list of
known bugs on lyx.org or devel.lyx.org; please forgive me if i'm
submitting something you've seen already, and point me to such a list of
known bugs if it exists.
Here's the thing:

Hi,
I am HAPPY, I have the Lyx logo on my Win98 desktop! And even better, I
can marginally use the program. However, I have a slight problem (there
may be many to come because I am no efficienado when it comes to
hacking) I cannot either view PostScript nor can I print from it. I get

Hi all,
I want to include program code into my document as a program float.
However, the code is more than 1 page long and does not break across the
pages. I am using the code below to include them into a program float:
\usepackage{float, times, verbatim, moreverb}
\floatstyle{ruled}
\newfloat{
Two obvious questions:
* Does inputenc.sty exist on your system (somewhere in your TeX distribution).
* Can TeX find it if it does. Run texhash to update your TeX distribution.
If it ain't there, try CTAN (http://www.ctan.org/search). I searched under
inputenc.sty and it came right up.

Hello,
Is there an X-server for windows98 that is free? I can use X-win32 but
would prefer a fully functional server that is not, as a friend of mine
calls it "cripple ware." In part the request is because I want to
respect software developers (I register shareware I continue to use). I

Hi
I'm starting to write my MSC thesis and I want to configure and lear to
use BibTeX with LyX. I've been looking for documentation but besides the
one that comes with the distribution (btxhak & btxdoc) I didn't found
nothing else. I'm looking for something like a user's manual.
