Some days ago Fong Kin Fui ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) wrote me that inline viewing
now is possible in Win32, too. This is due to a new (beta!?) cygwin.dll.
So I fetched this dll and found that most fixes I've made in the source
could be removed. LyX on Win32 now only has 1 fix compared to the original

I seem to recall a long time ago someone was making enquiries about
producing an a5 booklet in lyx. I would like to know how to do this,
but can't find the old postings (if they ever existed!).
What is the best way of doing this so that I have a nice PS file I can
send to the printers for them to

I know this probably has a TeX answer, but I'd appreciate any light all
of you can shed on this.
I am using multicol for a document with two columns, but the text in
the left hand column does not line up with the text in the right hand
column, on the horizontal. That is, say for example, line 10
Dumb question.
Do I have to type math-number in the minibuffer for every single equation in
my whole document? (Or use a perl script to change \[ to \begin{equation}?)
I can't imagine that's the case. I know a bunch of people have written their
theses in lyx already. So what's the secret?o

This is just a hunch, but maybe normal PostScript file does not work but
you should use encaps

Hello
Is there an easy way to set the page numbering to 1 of 3, 2 of 3 rather
than just 1, 2, 3.
Thanks

Jean-Marc,
I have found a quick & dirty solution to the dead keys problem; I totally
deactivate the deadkey event check in sub 'isDeadEvent' in file lyxlookup.C;
I force a return value of 'false' in all cases.
This solves the problem by now waiting for a smarter solution!
Eventually it could be
I've created a layout file for the "sfheaders" package on CTAN, which sets section,
subsection, et. al. in sans-serif. It's pretty simple -- the hard part was finding the

Anyway, I'd like to submit it for possible inclusion in the next release of LyX. Whe
