Hi;
This is kind of off the wall and I have no idea how
difficult it would be, but has anyone written a
layout file to support a document class for musixtex?

Hi all!
I just started using LyX to write a lot of scientific reports and
papers. The subject material is usually physical chemistry, so LyX's
math typesetting and inline graphics support has been simply amazing. I
am able to produce papers that are far more pleasing to the eye than
could ever

Thanx for the tip...
However, although I did find a language that did satisfy my needs
(croatian) I am still wondering how can I create one more Language entry?
Basically, I came to the point where I realised that the Language definitions
are more part of Tex/LaTeX then Lyx... So, I was w

Hi, I tried to view landscape LyX slides (FoilTeX) with ghostview, but
the right part of the slide doesn't appear: the text is cut.
I haven't this problem with dvips, only with gv (by Johannes Plass).
Shall I use another viewer? Is it a problem with postscript?
I have to do a presentation (of my

As you probably know I'm at the end of my thesis...8-} . Now I'm trying to
set up the presentation; obviously I want to use LyX.
They say to me to use my notebook instead of that old-fashioned slides...
I'll prepare both of them, because I like slides. No way to use PowerPoint,
as they suggested.

Dear lyxers,
I'm sorry for the noise, but embarrassing enough, I lost my
list-server information mail, and I can't figure how to unsubscribe.

Another font problem.
Normal variables are written in italics. All right.
Some things -- like functions -- are written in normal font. I can
get that using Alt-M-M in math mode. All right.
But how can I get bold font for things like matrices?
Or more generally: how to change the font type and

There are some questions in this group concerning LyX but not
many.
New Lyx-Users will probably ask more questions concering LaTeX than
concerning L

Try the following simple thing
Insert:

in the latex preamble
then in the matheditor type:

Hello list, I have two questions:
1- I'm a spanish spoker. I have allready configured my thesis so:
Chapter is Capítulo

keeps on saying "Algorithm". how can I overide this?

Imagine something like LyX. You start writing
