I sorted out the problems with captions.
I mentioned in my previous posting.
I missed a reference to documentation on
Captions.

After I create a figure (fig.eps) using xfig and then adding it to
my document using "insert figure: type: Encapsulated Postscript"
I tried to create a caption by setting the paragraph style
containing the figure to Caption.
What I get instead is
"Senseless:"
