Hey,
I'm running Lyx 1.0.0 on an old IBM PS/2 Model 56, with Slackware
kernel 2.0.35 modified for MCA, X, and KDE running. The machine has 16
MB of RAM and 50 megs of swap space, a 486SX processor, and an XGA-2
card with a 9524 monitor. My problem is essentially that Lyx
runs a little to

Is there a way to convert a lyx file directly into pdf?

and ps2pdf produces very large files.

I noticed that with some eps pictures created with xfig printing a
document suddenly stops or prints nothing. kghostview displays the
doc OK but when ghostscript tries to translate the ps into HP Deskjet
mud it fails. It leaves two gs_xxx files in /tmp. My ghostscript is
5.10 which seems to be

Just an idea:
Would it be useful if you can
hightlight
word - by double click
line or *all-the-words-in-italic* - by triple click
I had just to change all italics to small-caps.
Ciao!

Hi,
I've got a few questions belonging to eps. I worked with Lyx 1.0.0
and put a few pictures in it. Everything worked fine. But then
suddenly I couldn't print the pages from the page with the first
picture to last page. I switched to 1.0.1 and it is still the same.

Dear Lyx Users,
I am trying to make a table with rather long entries. Is there any way
to get multiple lines of text within one table cell?
Something like:
foo very, very long description of foo
spanning several lines, and maybe
even justified both left and right? ;-)

Hi all,
i was wondering what is the status of
Importing Latex Files function in this 1.0.3 version of Lyx.
I have downloaded and "succesfully (?)" compiled 1.0.1 version
but it messed really bad with multipart documents.
Example theseses, conference proceedings and the like although they

Hello there,
I've recently updated a PC box with RedHat 6.0, I've installed a new
version of LyX and I use the KDE 1.1.1(?) as a window manager...
The problem I have now is that I found difficult to highlight words or
lines with double or triple clicking of the mouse button in LyX, (in most
