Hi,
Is there an easy way to get a little bit of text (like "Therefore:") on the
same line as an equation in display mode, like they do in many math text
books.

Hello,
I'm having some trouble exporting a document to html. Within the
document, I have some C code which is formatted as Lyx-Code. It looks
fine when I print it. However, when I export it as LaTeX, then run
latex2html on the results, the file looks awful. The code frgments
appear in the sa

That's ok -- now that it is known, it can be fixed! :) It might

Hi all,
the simplest way I found to word-count documents is to export to ascii (to
get read of latex non-words) and using then wc (standard unix utility).
This is fairly quick, but I welcome better suggestion (although I think
the minimal effort is one command within lyx + one outside lyx).

Hi,
I was recently thinking about a feature that would be nice to have
included in LyX, namely a word counter option. Indeed, a lot a Journal
and Conference articles are often required a certain maximum number of
words, specially for abstract or synopsis.
Of course, you can use the spell checkin

Sorry, but another problem:
Why does the alignment in a multicolumn-table-cell have absolutly no effect to
the output? This is the problem: A multicolumn table then press right
mouse-button and set alignment to center and give a fixed width of 9cm for
example. Then update ghostview but the line i

Hi everybody,
I have a problem with inserting math-equations in a table. As described in the
user-guide you can´t insert a multiline-equation with C-Enter. But I need this!!
Is there an easy way to do this (perhaps a minipage in one cell or something
like that)?
If someone can help me, I would
Hi,
I'm using the FoilTex class and I need to put some text in math
environments. I noticed two things when using ctrl-m (\textrm in latex) to
do this:
1) the text in the lyx window is not at the same font and size as text in
standard environment.
2) this persists in the ps document. The size is

Hello!
Lyx is great and thank you for the help from this maillist.
I have got another problem.
I integrate eps graphics using "Insert->Figure->Encapsulated Postscript"
to include my graphics.
The graphics are produced with the QMS 820 v51.2 printer driver in Windows

Hi --
How do you enter the superscripts for math Sum symbols? I can get the
greek sum letter, and use Math->Index to enter the text below the sum
letter (e.g. "n=0"), but can't figure out how to enter the text above
the sum letter. Any hints?
Thanks!
