Hello,
the following patch seems to work. However, I am quite sure that it
breaks something. Alejandro Aguilar Sierra certainly has a better idea.
So if you apply this patch, remember, there is a risk!!!

first, cd to the lyx directory,

do you have \screen_font_scalable false in your lyxrc? If so, try
removing it. This is what caused problems with my config, and caused lyx
to dfault to fixed.

Just a little typo M-C b & M-C Space should be M-c b & M-c space.

Hi, this is my first post (Huzzah!) and I couldn't find this info in the
archive.
After reading the User Guide i figured out you could bold expressions in
Mathed with M-C b, which is great. The user guide also says to go back to
the default you type M-C Space, which doesn't work for me at all, ie
Hello again,
indeed, LyX "sees" all the macros that have been defined in all
its open documents (and apparently in those it has closed too).
Sorry for not having thought about that ...

Exactly. Well, not exactly -- "M-x math-macro msol",

it indeed says "unmatched", but why do I see the font in xfontsel?
And it works in netscape...
Hmmm...

If you use Micro$oft fonts, they are normally (at least on my computer)
called eg. "-monotype-times new roman".
But otherwise, I think you can just write: "-*-times new roman"

Hi,
I am having some trouble with ttf fonts in lyx 1.0.0 (let me know if
these problems are fixed in later versions). xfstt works, I think: I
can use fonts in Netscape and they show up in xfontsel.
One problem is that the font I would like to use is called times new
roman, and lyx doesn't seem to
Hello,
so, you do "M-x msol" , then write a 'm' with a dot, then use,
in math-mode, the macro '\msol', which appears fine on the screen,
but LaTeX won't compile? Strange indeed.
Could you create a short file, with e.g. just the macro definition
and an instance of it, check whether LaTeX s
