I want to set the \custom_export_command to use a program I wrote (in
Icon, as it happens, my only Icon program!) to softwrap a text file (it
would be useful if LyX could output text in paragraps automatically, but
never mind).
In the lyxrc file, it says the filetype has to be one of "lyx, dvi, t

Use The Return-Path: instead.
What you notice is that we have switched maillist-server.

One big disadvantage of the usual export method (it doesn't prompt for a
filename) is that to export a DVI, PS or text form of a document in a
directory for which you don't have write permission, you have to save the
LyX document in your directory first. An "Export as..." option would be
nice, or

Hi Jean-Marc,
I just checked the algorithm-package. One must redefine the floatnames by the
following commands:
\floatname{algorith}{newname}
\newcommand{\listalgorithmname}{newname}
Wouldn't it be better when LyX could change the labels automatically?

the X-Loop was:
X-Loop: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
that unambiguously identified mails from the list.
Now I see that this information is most frequently in the Cc or To fields,
depending whether people post or reply

Hi,
I used to sort mails from this list according to the X-Loop field in the
mail header... this seems not to be set by the new list server.
Should I rely on the Cc field, or does anyone have a better suggestion?
thanks, Stefano

Hi,
I included '\usepackage{algorithm}' as Christoph Appel described and it
worked. Unfortunately the label of the caption was still in english
although the language of the document is german.

I'm trying to upgrade from v0.12 (which kept on crashing on tables) to
1.0, but
1.0 fails to run, with:
/sbin/loader: Fatal Error: cannot map libforms.so.0.88
any ideas?
This is on dec unix v4.0b (probably).
I'm running from the binary picked up from
ftp://ftp.via.ecp.fr/pub/lyx/bin/1.0.0/

Correct, but wrong.
"algorithm float" is a valid inset within LyX, you can select it via
menu. So LyX has to take care that the relevant packages get included
in the preamble, not the user. It does so e.g. f
I did this by using a table in a float environment. It is then easy to place an
EPS figure into every cells of the table with the Insert figure command.

All you have to do is to place the figure in a same float box next to
each over. if the sum of the width is lower than expected for the page
the figure will be place next to each over. If you place the figure under
to each other, lyx don't try to place them on the same line.
Moreover You must
