I had the same problem when I started using LYX. But the answer
is quite easy. Just go to the menu:
"Layout" -> "Dokument..."

Hi,
this is the first time I'm posting on this list and I just started to use
LyX.
My first question is related to a problem which appears when I'm using the
'ß', the equivalent to 'ss' in german language in my documents. (To see
what I mean you have to set your display to ISO 8859-1, sorry, I
Hi.
I´ve now translated everything so that the PS output is in German. I
have some questions though.
First I notice that when a "Standard" text follows a
subsection/subsubsection, the text is not displayed below, but rather
next to the subsection title (= the linebreak is missing). I find

Lyx-1.0.0, using the identical configuration files..

Did anybody create a LyX layout file for the latest Springer Lecture
Notes in Computer Science LaTeX2e class (llncs.cls)? I would be
happy if you could share it.
It's so awkward to write in LyX with article class and then export
to TeX and manually modify it to use the llncs class. Especially

Apologies for bringing up this issue again, but I'm a bit confused. On
an intel machine, RedHat 6.1 installed the following teTeX RPMs:

tetex-dvilj-1.0.6-7
tetex-dvips-1.0.6-7
tetex-fonts-1.0.6-7

Hi again,
I try to build lyx with the above mentioned compiler. It is not that easy! I
could change certain problems in the source text. But finally I failed with:
CC -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I../../src -I./../ -I/usr/local/include/X11
-I/afs/nada.kth.se/home/num/hanke/Private/include -I/

Hi!
I try to make a single lyx file out of several other lyx files which
are in different folders. The problem appears when I try to look after
the final postscript file. All the figures give an error message because
the path is relative to the folder of the original file.

Dear Lyx users:
I found problems installing the 1.1.2 development version of lyx.
I use Red Hat 5.0 Linux, xforms 0.86 and gcc version 2.7.2.3. After a

making the program:
