Maybe I need a day off again:
I just sat in front of some plain LaTeX document and wanted to type '$S$'.
Suddenly, empty lines are appearing on screen, and the harder I try to
enter math mode, the more empty lines I get.
*sigh*
Maybe I should just map to '$' in my editor...
