elsart.layout seems to be obsolete, but it is not mentioned so in
LatexConfig.lyx.
Also it is missing in CTAN at macros/latex/contrib/elsevier.
In contrast, elsarticle.layout is _not_ described in LatexConfig.lyx.

My humblest apologies...I seemed to have once again been baffled by CVS.
After doing an update/make, the elsart.layout file I ended up with didn't
work, and had extra - and <<<<< bits in it.
