compile warnings on:

The mentioned fix was about text mode anyway. So yes, it couldn't fix
your problem...

Can you reproduce it? If yes, how? Did you try stdlib-debug builds?
Which compiler do you use?

oddly enough the crash doesn't occur with a debug build, so no
backtrace unfortunately...
