LyX 1.6.9 has no such option. Maybe I'd better just wait for the
release of LyX 2.0's Windows installer.

Under LyX 2.0.0svn works fine with xeCJK and xunicode but you have to enable
the following

I'll try it under LyX 2 and check differences between 1.6.9 and previous
