Dear Bennett, dear list,
thanks a lot! It was the preferences-file. After erasing now LyX does
show not just branches, but also notes, comments, and lots of other
entries, that were not displayed. I don´t know, when that happened,
but I think it was when I updated to the recent version.

Dear List,
I don´t find the possibility in 1.6.5 to generate and use branches,
where did that function move? I think, it was under "Edit" before…
Thanks, best
