Dear Bennett, dear list, thanks a lot! It was the preferences-file. After erasing now LyX does show not just branches, but also notes, comments, and lots of other entries, that were not displayed. I don´t know, when that happened, but I think it was when I updated to the recent version. T

Thank you. Also with your document, the branches are not available (but the todo-module is not found. I think, this should not affect the behaviour). Now, to answer your questions: 1) Well, in your document, there are no non-standard characters in the branches’ names. In mine neither. 2)
